Nicolas Ferrando was born in Buenos Aires in 1978.
He started work in the cinema industry when he was fifteen and since then has been freelancing as a cameraman, director of photography, illustrator and writer in more than 250 tv commercials, documentaries, movies and comics.

He studied at the University of Cinema, Buenos Aires, during which time, he won the Best Photography award for "Jakuza" at the 2002 FUC Short Film Festival. Afterwards he did an MA in photography at the Slade School of Arts, and still lives in London.
